- A Group Captive Project is a solar power plant set up for the collective use of multiple consumers.
- As per Electricity Act & Tamil Nadu Solar Policy, consumers must hold at least 26% equity in the project.
- The group must consume a minimum of 51% of the power generated annually.
- Power is supplied to the consumers through the state grid under Open Access regulations.
